We had nominations last meeting and everyone on the current board was re-elected. I appointed two new trustees, Kevin HilI and Sharky. Thanks for the support.
As far as Christmas goes, we have been contacted by one family and they will be sending us their information. He is active duty and just returned from his second tour in Iraq.
We have the Legion Riders run coming up on September 11th and that is also the day we are packing boxes for K.I.S.S. Casselbbery Vets is one of the stops so we are making this a strongly suggested run. Colors please.
Thanks to Jimmy Landress and Billy Dearolf for painting the trailer and also to Keith Harris for donating the steps. (Pictures coming soon)
September 25th, we will be preparing and serving a spaghetti dinner for the Veterans Hospital. We need volunteers to help prepare and serve. Anyone who is volunteering, please be here by 9:00am. Colors required.
Our next meeting will be October 4th at 6:30. Remember, volunteering and attending meetings is mandatory.

Caretakers ME…..Nursing Home Visit
What a turn out to bring the fishing poles over to Wayne’s Nursing home. We had 16 bikes and 4 cages. Jimmy Landress led us out on his vintage Harley, followed by Sandy driving the Willy and then the rest of us. The residents were thrilled to see us and we visited for quite a while. We plan on visiting them again. They have therapy dogs and also a miniature cow, which Magi thought was a goat, others thought it was a statue and Sandy Landress wanted to know who could put it in their saddle bags. Back at the Club, Billy made us all lunch while KISS packed boxes. With all the help, it took less than 2 hours to pack them. Debbie and Joe said it would take almost 2 weeks if they had to do it. We had a bunch of help and the kids from Boys Town also came down and helped.
Scotty’s brother had given Blue the money to buy a round for all Caretakers present at the club to toast Scotty a month to the day after his memorial with the balance going to KISS. That was Saturday, the Caretakers voted to buy their own drinks and donated the gift to KISS. Also, Jack and Eileen B. donated a nice contribution to KISS that day.
We’re starting to look for military families for our Christmas donations. If you know of a military family where a spouse is deployed, that could use our help, please give me their name.
Just a reminder, we will have two meetings in August,. August 2nd will be nominations and August 30th will be elections.

Proud To Be An American
“We Ride For A Cause”
We had a great Poker Run this year. The weather was perfect, the food and entertainment was AWSOME, and we had a good turn out. We raised enough money to make some very nice donations to be distributed to all of our charities.
Congradulations to Randall!!! He’s the proud new owener of the Harley.
